Thank you very much again for the vote of confidence and that you have enjoyed my web-site. Also Andy Vermiglio he has got a really nice website, Andy you must be have an Italian background, isn't it?
Now, i would like you guys to be aware of a problem that i really hope, won't get any player and that it is, the lack of confidence, fears in the playing or a sudden crises in our Arts as players and drummers. I had to face way back in 1995 a big disappointment as far as my work it was concerned and from that time on, i had to face a kind of fear that was blocking the way i was playing my kik. I wasn't able to play the patterns as i used to do before. I was scared and every time i had to go for complicated patterns, i was using different strokes to simplify those because I was scared. Now, beside the drums as a profession, i write books too and so, because I?ve recently move from Italy to Australia, i have decided to write about this syndrome that might affect every player, (i really hope it will never affect you guys, i had to go through hell since the past 10 years and i've also start to have a drinking problem too).
My book unfortunately for the moment it is written in Italian but, if it will be published over there in Italy, i will translate that into English. I would like though, to suggest you in the meantime my book will take life in Italy, to read if you affected by any fears or blocks when you play, a book that it is called: "The Inner Game Of Music" by Barry Green. Really it is a very interesting book and that it might be the one to cure you fears or blocks. As i say i really hope you are not involved with these matters, but out there it may be someone suffering of those fears and he doesn't know where to go or how to handle a very bad situation. I know that there are psychologists and so forth but really to me, they really didn't help much, as much as a really heavy practice on the instrument.
Well that's it guys, i really hope what i have wrote about, it might help you as much it did for me reading that book.
As i always say: we have to face and be brave enough to talk about both our good sides and both, about our limitations too. To face these limitations and talk about those to others, well, i think it will be already a step forward on our way to be cured about our inner problem. Also, it is good even to face these weird feelings, because it is another side of our unconscious that is sending to us different messages from those we were face before when we were happy about our playing. I really hope that you have understood what I?m talking about, writing this in English, it is harder than writing it in Italian. Ok guys God bless you all.
Your "Brother on Drums"

Actually, the Inner Game of Tennis is even better than the Music version... and it is nice because you can draw your own conclusions, since it is about Tennis... wonderful book.
